Aims & Objectives

WHAT LEEDS COMBINED ARTS IS ABOUT
Mission Statement: In the here and now, the LCA exists to:
• Promote and celebrate the ‘Arts’ and ‘Literature’ in a diversity of forms including ‘arts and crafts,’ drama, music, poetry and prose
• Nurture and promote individual talent and general health and wellbeing
• Encourage a sense of belonging and community through social activities
• Establish mutually creative relationships with other Leeds-based Community Groups

Vision Statement: For the future, the LCA is seeking to form a vibrant, Leeds-based artistic and literary community characterised by:
• An outgoing attitude that seeks to engage with the local community
• Welcoming those from a variety of backgrounds with diversities of outlook
• Open communication between members and with outside parties
• Respectful acknowledgement (or at least tolerance) of each other’s views and beliefs

Means: To build sound administrative structures, characterised by effective communication and organizational efficiency.

A core priority is the need to a secure a sound financial base in order to provide the resources needed to accomplish our aspirations.
