The minor road from Leathley leads to the delightful Medieval Riffa Lane. Could be muddy! Possible car sharing or could re-organise route with train to Weeton and then A2 Bus to just past Riffa Bridge on A658. Details and decision of route to follow in early March. Length around 3 and half miles.

A pleasant (and historically informative) walk with Edna and June through woods and open fields, beginning and ending at the popular café in the Visitor Centre. A fairly flat walk with some muddy sections, touching upon the Middleton Railway and also viewing a ‘bell pit.’
