Internationally acclaimed and Oscar-nominated filmmaker Mike Leigh portrays one of the bloodiest episodes in British history, the infamous Peterloo Massacre of 1819, where government-backed cavalry charged into a peaceful crowd of 80,000 that gathered in Manchester, England to demand democratic reform. Please purchase your own ticket at the venue. We will meet at 7.15 – 7.20 p.m. in the foyer, the film commences at 7.30 p.m. Tickets are £7.00 / £6.00 senior citizen.
