Day Trip to Heartbeat Country & Whitby.

August 15, 2020 @ 10:00 - 18:00

£15.00

Saturday 15th August, 9.00 a.m. Day Trip to Heartbeat Country & Whitby. (Meet at Leeds Coach Station Dyer Street).

Goathland is an incredibly attractive but busy village in the North York Moors in North Yorkshire. It is the setting for the fictional “Aidensfield” in ITV’s popular TV programme Heartbeat.  There is also a station there for the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors steam railway line. It is a popular tourist destination and has many useful amenities including a pub, tea room, shops, and a post office. We’ll then be heading over to Whitby to spend the rest of the day. From the atmospheric Abbey towering over winding cobbled streets to the windswept beach and working harbour, Whitby is not your traditional coastal town. An Enjoy England award winner for Best Day Out, be sure to sample Yorkshire’s best fish and chips, discover ancient vampire legends and sit under the whale bone arch, watching the brightly coloured fishing vessels passing by. All seats £15.00. Please send payment all cheques to be made payable to ‘Leeds Combined Arts Theatre Group’ to us at – Leeds Combined Arts HEART Centre, Bennett Road, Headingley LS6 3HN.  Please note: Places must be pre-booked due to the current restriction on numbers.
