DESCRIPTION:Photography and Landscape Summer 2021 Leeds Combined Arts \nThis July Leeds Combined Arts offers the first pair in a series of walks in which we shall be photographing some places of local interest around Headingley and building collages from the views we capture. \nOn Thursday 15th July we shall be walking from the recently reclaimed Sparrow Park on Cardigan Road\, Headingley\, up Chapel Lane\, which is one of the oldest streets in Leeds\, to the Cenotaph and the former location of the Shire Oak\, the heart of old Headingley\, photographing the historic village landscape and architecture.

DESCRIPTION:Born Edith Gassion in 1915\, no one could have predicted Edith Piaf’s phenomenal rise to fame – from singing in the streets of Paris to becoming one of France’s biggest international stars\, her voice is still revered to this day. But her extraordinary talent was matched with an equally extraordinary personal life. Pam Gems’ sensational and emotionally-charged play explores the highs and lows of the enigmatic yet fragile singer’s life and features some of Piaf’s most famous songs\, including La Vie en Rose\, Hymne à l’amour and Non\, Je Ne Regrette Rien. Piaf is directed by Adam Penford (An Enemy of the People\, The Madness of George III\, Wonderland) and stars Tony-nominated and Olivier Award-winning actress Jenna Russell in the title role.
