SUMMARY:LCA Theatre Visit to see 'Spirit Level'
DESCRIPTION:First produced in 2010\, ‘Spirit Level’ is a light comedy with a strong streak of fantasy and moments of classic farce. Jack and Susie Cameron drowned in a boating accident while on a holiday in the Italian Lakes. They now haunt their old cottage\, staving off boredom by tormenting the local estate agent and the various tenants who rarely stay long. Then a young couple arrives and Jack and Susie decide that they really quite like them and start to get involved in their lives.  Director\, Alan Foale\, says: “Spirit Level is a light comedy about couples young and old and the strange ways in which human relationships develop.  It is indeed a play to lift your spirits. I was enchanted when I first read the play and it was so fresh that it held my attention throughout\, as well as making me laugh out loud! And it left me to reflect on human nature without ever feeling that someone was lecturing me”.  All tickets £8.00.  Please book direct with Adel Players on 0113 2755585.  We will meet in the bar area around 7.10 p.m. \n

SUMMARY:LCA Theatre Visit ‘Rough Crossing’
DESCRIPTION:Two famous but desperate playwrights are stuck on an ocean liner headed for New York\, feverishly trying to rehearse their latest show before reaching land and opening night. But they are constantly distracted by their delicate composer’s attempts to end it all\, having overheard his lover confess her feelings to the leading man. Add an absurdly unorthodox waiter\, a mistimed lifeboat drill and a vanishing glass of brandy and soon the sharp Atlantic winds turn to world-class gales of laughter as these colourful characters become tangled up in a string of absurd events. \nFor further details and to book please contact Sibylle on sibylle@leedscombinedarts.org.uk
