SUMMARY:MBS ‘Who is that pain in your neck?: The Body-Mind Connection\, and what you can do about it’
DESCRIPTION:In this interactive workshop\, Gerry Andrews\, Integrative Massage Therapist and Body-Mind Coach\, will take you through an exploration of pain: \n\nhow pain in our bodies is intimately entwined with our emotions;\nhow we ‘sabotage’ our own health and wellbeing\, creating our own ‘disabled minds’; and\nwhat we can do about it.\n\nAs part of the workshop\, you will also explore some mindfulness practices and techniques that can help you not only manage\, but recover from chronic pain. \nGerry works with individuals to help them recognise and overcome the blocks (in their bodies and their minds) that are preventing them living the lives they wish to live.\nUsing a blend of manual therapies\, coaching strategies\, movement exercises and energy work\, Gerry helps people connect their mental selves to their physical selves so as to be more effective\, positive and energised.
